Stunning 18-karat white gold reproduction of the Miraculous Medal. The appellative "Miraculous" was awarded to the medal by the Parisian people after a very serious cholera epidemic which broke out in Lutetia in February 1832. In June of the same year, the Daughters of Charity began to distribute among the population the first medals of the very powerful Virgin which had been minted. by Father Aladel. The healings for those who wore the medal were so many that they earned it the name of Miraculous Medal or of Graces.
